Insanity Workout: Does It Really Work?

The insanity workout is a new work out program which is attaining a large amount of acclaim from fitness experts and is becoming more trusted. The insanity session can be completed by someone that has a DVD player and requires little supplemental equipment outside of the initial DVD purchase. The insanity workout program focuses essentially on interval training in addition to proper form.

The insanity system is a 2 month approach that is broken down into 9 DVD’s. The 1st four weeks of workouts has five DVD’s in total each of which contain a daily session. The very first four weeks of training focuses largely on aerobic and anaerobic interval training which helps to establish total body conditioning. The five DVD’s for the initial four weeks are as follows:

Plyometric Cardio Circuit – This is the 40 minute session which focuses on burning body fat making use of cardio intervals.

Pure Cardio – This is the 40 minute supreme cardio session which does not support any rests.
Cardio Recovery – This 35 minute session focuses on recuperating your weary muscles groups to prepare for more cardiovascular exercise
Cardio Abs – This high intensity session lasts for twenty minutes and focuses on burning fat and developing a strong core.
Core Cardio& Balance – This session is used day after day for a full week and is a 40 minute cardio session.

Subsequent to the first four weeks, the training get far more powerful and are still oriented towards circuit and interval training. A summary of the second month’s four DVD’s are as follows:

Max Interval Circuit – During this sixty minute session the circuit get much more challenging as compared with the first four weeks.
Max Cardio Conditioning – This session is a challenging 50 minute cardio session.
Max Interval Plyometrics – This 55 minute session focuses largely on strengthening your legs through plyometrics.
Max Recovery – This 50 minute session focuses upon muscle recovery and stretches.

I am a personal trainer on weekends and a social worker on weekdays and I don't think the MUSCULAR results we see on television is realistic, so I went onto this website to find out the responses from people who tried it. I did not get a positive response. All I see is what the program does and how it supposed to work, but I didn't see many people who said that the program works for them or not. This tells me that this workout does not work which is what I suspected all along.

To the person above saying Insanity does not work, please listen to me when I say it DOES work. In less than 4 weeks I have lost nearly 10 pounds and several inches off my waist. I probably won't see the results shown on TV in 2 months, but if you are looking to lose weight fast and get definition in your upper body, this is the real deal. I am an independent reviewer and have absolutely nothing to gain from writing this comment. Try it, stick to the program and the diet, and I guarantee you will see noticeable results in 2 months.

Cheers!

Insanity absolutely works- people get from the program exactly what they put into it. It is NOT intended to be easy or easy to stick with. It is a very difficult program that even elite athletes can benefit from. Those claiming to have not gotten results obviously did not put forth the effort required with the program.

Personal trainer is afraid of going out of business. The program works. Diet is key, and rest and doing the workout. Alot of people buy the workout and try a few times and eat cheeseburgers for lunch. HMMMM It works. I've done this program for about 3 years on/off through my pregnancy. I lost 40lbs in 7 months. I'm now 115lbs and 5'5" tall is not bad

This so called 'personal trainer' has no clue. Its common knowledge that any type of physical exercise performed at high intensities burns fat. He's either no personal trainer or as other people have said, scared of going out of business.
Don't be fooled, this is one of the toughest 8 week programs you'll go through. It's tough to stick with but the results are awesome. You get out what you put in. I suggest doing the workouts with other people to help push you everyday. Since it's heavily promoted on tv, everyone is skeptical thinking it's another fake program to earn a few dollars. Stick with it and you'll be surprised with the results

This really does work! Like almost everyone said, you get out what you put in to it. Stick to it, no matter how hard it gets. You WILL see results! A little over a year ago, I weighed 113 pounds, at 5'4 tall. I was very in shape. I started taking birth control shots and I gained 80 pounds. I got to the point where I cried myself to sleep because I was so huge. My father in law is a firefighter and I saw him getting ripped with Insanity. I dedicated myself to it and I went from a size 10/12, back to my size 4! I am more defined, toned, and I have so much more endurance and self-confidence. Try it for yourself, you WILL NOT regret it! I promise!

HI I was working out with insanity untill las week I really like it but I felt like I had to suspend it because after ending the first week I had a very bad pain on and around my shin bones. I didn't like the idea of suspending it but I was affraid to get injured. It felt very bad when i tried to push up to jump even after worming up so I don't understand if maybe this is normal? i had alredy gone through the first 4 days of the bad body sore and i said thank god i was fealing great but then days later this started but then now almost a week later since I suspended it I still have this pain ..Has anyone felt like this on the iner side of the shin bones ?
